There is no real solution to racism, but we can certainly take measures to prevent it, first, we must start to figure out what’s a good idea and what's a bad one. A step to preventing racism that's been proposed to me is not acknowledging it because we're all men. This is a terrible idea we need to be open about racism and talk about it, otherwise, people will become ignorant of different races and what is and isn't ok to do. If we are able to talk about racism and convince everyone that it is still a problem in our society than we can finally work on making all races equal. One very big problem when it comes to relations between ethnic groups is a member of each group using their race to their own advantage. A real example of this is a former student at Michigan Technological University (MTU) sued the school on the grounds that he was railroaded out after an innocuous joke claimed to be tough on racism. Later in court, it was proved that he made this story up, and his case was dismissed. Any instance like this where someone uses their race for his or her own gain is called “playing the race card”, and it should never be done as it can damage how people view the ethnic group in question.
